MIT Media lab

Exploring flexible electronics with Dr. Shuvo

The ExerMetrix sensor and custom mobile app played a central role in a groundbreaking pilot study led by Ikra Iftekhar Shuvo, a PhD student at the MIT Media Lab. Ikra designed, conceptualized, and fabricated a novel wearable electronic device to measure finger movement. The ExerMetrix sensor served as the benchmark standard for assessing active finger range of motion, providing a critical reference point for validating his innovation. A custom app, developed specifically for the study, was tailored to Ikra’s specifications—highlighting the power of collaboration in advancing wearable health technologies.
